Can you tell me if the SSID's have to be the same? Its just for diagnostic purposes I want to change the Netgear to test connection. Thanks

I put in a different ssid for test puposes then changed it back to the same one as the 2820n for seamless roaming.

This is starting to grate on me now... Im right in thinking I can have the netgear - same channel - different SSID completely on its own with no ethernet attached. Once paired to the 2820 I then power cycle them both and bring the 2820 up first and then the netgear. CLients "should" be able to (once they have a static IP as DHCP relay doesnt work) connect to the AP all be it the Netgear and browse the web etc?
Sorry to go on its just being a right pain
