Apologies in advance if this has already been posted but I am trying to understand if its possible to view a wireless ip camera over the internet.

The camera is set up and works ok, viewing is good inside the house over the ip address and can be used on all devices that are browser enabled but I have hit a dead end when it comes to configuration to allow viewing over the internet while I am travelling.

I understand the principal behind opening a port and I have the allocated IP address, WLAN IP address and MAC address but I am unable to view remotely and I have a DYN account set up so what have I overlooked as i am becoming a little snow blind!

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Make sure that the camera has the router's IP set up as the gateway, that's the most common reason for a port forward to not work with IP camera.
