2850n ANT-1005 Aerials was created by iamakingprawn
Hi,
This is probably a dumb question and the answer is probably "Of course", but do the ANT-1005 Aerials work if I have the router set to 5Ghz? I'm asking as the description only says 2.4Ghz, and I'm no aerial expert.
Cheers
Rob

I guess you refering in this link
http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/aerials.html
i don't think are the same as the ones supplied with our unit ... the ANT-1005 are different model aerials with 5 db gain (stronger)
The ones coming with our unit as the link says are 2-3db
A a dual wifi router should have a dual band antenna (if i am not mistaken are 2 build in, in the same antenna)
The ANT-1005 it clearly states (unless is old informations because the specific link are years there as far i remember) is for 2.4G
Even if will work for 5G, i don't think you will get the max out of it, if is designed only for 2.4G ... so your question is not dump & according to the link is only for 2.4G as stated
maybe by now technology has gone forward & my knowledge is behind ... so ask the support for 100% sure if you see not other replies

As far as I am aware aerials do not differ and can be used on 2.4 and 5.8ghz
Product Pagehttp://www.draytek.co.uk/products/vigor2850.html Accessories tab leads to optional aerial upgrades http://www.draytek.co.uk/products/aerials.html which show the 1005 / 1107 / 2510
