Hi
I have vigor 2830n+ and two AP800, and they seem to be working correctly..... But I want to upgrade the firmware on the AP's to 1.1.1 and they are running 1.0.3.1
I have tried using the web page gui, and the utility. it just fails and doesn't update, without any errors.
Just wondered am I doing something wrong? Can they be upgraded via wireless or do they need to be upgraded via the ethernet port?
Thanks

thanks for confirming this, I have just tried upgrading via an ethernet port using the gui, and the firmware application and still failed.
Did get "timeout message"

are you trying via the UI to update ... or via the utility toll?
Via the UI should be easy ... just use the menu (System Maintenance >> Firmware Upgrade)
but i think at the ap 800 needs to connected at LAN B ... if not give a try the A1
If is via the utility tool you need to have ready and stand by the tool first and set the AP 800 in TFTP mode so follow this order to avoid time outs ... but again try first with the LAN B at the ap 800 & if fail try the A1
-Switch off the ap 800
-Disable temporary firewall at pc you going to use the tool
-use ethernet cable & not via wifi from the pc to the Lan B or A1
-open the utility upgrade tool
- type at IP address 192.168.1.2 (unless you have changed use that one)
-load the firmware you prefer
-password is admin/admin unless you have changed so use that one
- leave there the upgrade tool open & stand by ...
While the ap 800 is off ... press and hold gently the small reset button on the unit ... turn on the ap 800 while the reset button is still under gently press ... and while the leds starts flashing ... let go the small reset button ... and press the send button at the upgrade tool before the leds at modem stops flashing fast
