Three Access point questions was created by allat39
Hi,
Rethinking the wifi of our network
QUESTIONS
What is the maximum number of access points that can be attached by ethernet to a 2850vn router. (Using a switch)
We are currently using two AP800's. Planning for Universal repeater mode. If we additionally plugged in a couple more wifi ROUTERS that have been donated to us, what essentially needs to be configured on them so that they would work as access points.
If the AP800's connected only by wifi to these donated ROUTERS, would I be right in thinking that the speed of the connection would be maxed at 50% of the wifi connection speed?
Thanks in advance

Only answering the last question as personal have not set up more than 2 AP ... if is via wifi expect each AP to lost about 30% of the original modem speed ... example if you have adsl connection 20mbps, then the AP connected via wifi to give about 17 mbps, if is another one connected 15 mbps & so on
