2860 Central AP Management question was created by amadeus
Hi,
I have a 2860 running firmware 3.8.2.2. I have 2 AP900 devices running firmware 1.1.7.1.
In the config of the 2860 under Central AP Management, WLAN profile, I go to either 2.4Ghz or 5.0Ghz sections.
The config row that begins with SSID has a dropdown which has LAN-A & LAN-B. Can someone explain what that is please? I don't understand why there is a LAN-B option there.
Thanks

Er -I'd guess its because you have AP900s which can be set to provide LAN A and LAN B if you wish? It's all in the manuals.....

AP900 do not have LAN-B ports. Just ignore the setting and leave as LAN-A

Odd - I guess that port marked LAN B on my AP900 must be a typo then

ok, thanks guys.
I had gone through the router manual and not found anything that I thought relevant but realized that I should have been looking at the AP900 manual!
So I did that and TBH I think I have even more questions now. I'll read a bit more. The manual seems (pretty) good at detailing the features but not necessarily explaining them which is what I'm looking for (I'm a long way from being a networking expert).
thanks
