Support sent me a copy of that new firmware file which seems to have done the trick - the VLAN tag is now recognised and I have a Band Steering option

Can I ask a naive question here...
If you get an AP902, do you have to replace the router as well in order to get the ac speed/access from the access point?

I also had issues with a 902, I've used Draytek for many years and work in networking as a day job (mainly on Cisco to be fair but I do work with Draytek professionally as well) I was quite disappointed with the 902, on the surface wise it looked great, feature packed and easy to setup etc, worked well initially with my 2860 controlling it but then it would drop out, radios would drop and it ended up causing me more wifi issues than it solved with the 2860 on its own.
I returned it and setup another solution in the end, for a home device its not a cheap access point but was expecting the usual standard of reliability from Draytek which the 902 just didnt deliver, I posted similar in the forum already, also seems others have too around firmware issues.
