I'll be testing this properly once the UK version is released.
I must say that four pages of fixes must be a record.
I wonder if this is the offending item....
Corrected: Unable to make network connection with AES encryption for WLAN 5GHz

My 2862ac has been having numerous wifi problems.
So, there is a new firmware on the .com site, 3.8.9. Can this be used on my UK bought 2862ac?

The 'BT approved' UK version should only be a couple of days away.
I was talking to Draytek spt last Friday, and two of the options was to wait for 3.8.9 that was according to them 'in beta' (I assumed they meant the UK version was still classed as beta), or to try the English localised version from the Taiwan site. I'm holding out for the UK general availbilty version.
I HAVE briefly tried the English localised version from the Taiwan site. It installed OK, but I could not run it for very long (not it's fault - I elected to switch back quickly for various reasons, and had that planned before I even loaded it - unless that is, it showed dramatic improvements instantly). I had the impression that it dod NOT resolve my wi-fi issues, nor did it show signs of improving my VDSL connection stability (although it looks as if it did negotiate G.Fast)
I intend to install 3.8.9_BT when it emerges pretty much instantly, and stick with it (barring worse issues than I'm experiencing at the moment, which would be hard to achieve!)
Needless to say if you do choose to upgrade (to the EN/Taiwan or official UK software, take s config backup immediately beforehand, so that you have an easy fallback (which would be install 3.8.8.2_BT.rst, then import that backed up config)

Yes the main site firmware (.com) can be used on UK devices.
If you normally use the BT version the Vector 3 is almost identical, it's the MDM1 version I think off the top of my head.
Once the UK BT version is released this can go straight over the top.

3.8.9 was not approved by the UK office so they did not issue it. 3.8.9.1 is.
Always download from the UK site.
