Now narrowed the problem down to the 5 GHz SSID. If I use a 2.4 GHz SSID the Sky+ app sees the box.

My hope is Draytek can resolve this, it really isn't a fit for purpose WiFi router otherwise. The suggested solution from support to turn of 5 GHz WiFi not so encouraging though.
