I'm currently trying a Draytek 2762ac replace my EE provided router with an all in one device rather than going with separate stuff for mode, router, wifi.
Testing some file transfer speeds copying files to and from my NAS (QNAP TS-253A) and am getting some results I'm not expecting and am not sure what could be up.
Copying a file from the QNAP over the EE device wifi I get speeds to my desktop of around 35 to 40MB/s.
Copying the same file from the QNAP over the new Draytek I get speeds to my desktop of around 50 to 55MB/s, all good there.
But where it gets a bit funny is when copying something back to the QNAP.
Over the EE wifi connection the file goes at the same speed as the download, 35 to 40MB/s.
But over the Draytek the file transfer sits at around 20ish MB/s.
Any ideas why the Draytek is quicker pulling files, but under half the speed uploading them to the QNAP when the EE unit gives the same speed either way?
Something obvious I'm missing?
