But can I check link speed would be the level of throughput from point a to b, so client via network or vice versa?

The Reported "Link Speed", that you see on your phone (for example), seems to be based on a combination of theoretical maximum for the type of connection and the signal strength (according to Netgear: https://kb.netgear.com/19668/Link-Rate-and-Transfer-Speed ). It seems to have absolutely nothing in common with any data rate you can actually measure :( )

FWIW, I did some throughput tests of my Wifi network here: https://forum.draytek.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=23630&p=96609#p96609

Really intersting, albeit rather saddening that it feels like the marketing people are involved in the numbers. So link speed means the speed that we could get in ideal situations not what is actually happening, which is akin to saying the top speed of all cars is the terminal velocity they would achieve if they were droppped from the sky!!

Thanks again for your real world stats from your house. It sounds like you have an amazing and cared for set up. When I was growing up there was always the village fair once a year and they used to do person with the finest vegetables. Now things have moved a lot from there, but I do wonder if there isnt call for a 21st century verision of this. This being the case definitely put your wifi set up in , sure it would get a medal!!
