Not 100% sure, I believe 3 PAYG also doesn't block VOIP as T-Mobile PAYG also don't block VOIP but charge no more than max £4 per day.
Easiest way to try 3 is put modem in PC and try a software Voip, if that works.........

3 PAYG doesn't work for VoIP.. It makes the call but there is no audio (same as vodafone did).. Looking at the status there appear to be rx packets but no tx..

I have had VOIP working over Three PAYG. I just had a 2900VG with it's WAN port connected to the LAN port of a Three branded D100 router with the USB Hawei dongle modem. Worked as well as could be expected given my poor 3G signal for both incoming and outgoing calls but there is clearly no blocking.
2900VG was configured for use with Virgin cable so NAT proxy was enabled.

Aside from being great news for Skype and Vonage users, this is an interesting development. The general thought has been that AT&T didn’t want always-available VoIP because it would eat into its core business as a telephone company. The well known 3G congestion on AT&T’s network has also been suspected.

I have the problem in the OP.
Vodafone is giving me a 10.x.x.x ip address. My Vigor 2800vg is running the final 2.8.2 firmware and the setup works perfectly on ADSL.
Was is any workaround for this ever found?
By the way, I also have a Vigor 2130vn router which works perfectly with the same modem and SIM.
Many thanks.
