I have the same problem as Irksome.
Call comes in on a VOIP line and rings a phone.
Press the transfer button, or put on hold, get new dialtone. Caller hears the awful "music" noise and are on hold.
Dial extension to transfer to. Speak to person call is being transferred to, so far so good.
Press the transfer button again to transfer the call. Caller is cut off.
Nothing to do with analogue phones/lines, nothing is plugged into those sockets.
Model Name : VigorIPPBX 2820
Firmware Version : 3.5.4_232201
Build Date/Time : Jan 18 2010 18:24:39
Phones are Linksys/Cisco SPA-942

Hi,
Do you have any other handsets you can try instead of the cisco ones.
I've noticed that on the firmware release notes for the IPPBX 2820 that there has been mention of compatability issues being improved for cisco ip phones as well as them being mentioned as known issues.
If you can try different handsets and still experience the issue then we can take the handsets out of the equation.
Cheers
