VigorPhone 350 - New Setting was created by timbelfall
Hi
Firmware Firmware 12202.26.1.03i for the VP 350 has a new setting: Pickup Code
Anybody know how this works? Is this the answer to my call transfer problem?
Thanks

Hi Tim,
At a guess I would say it may be something to do with the Call Parking feature or maybe a new feature enabling the pickup of a ringing call from another phone extension or a trunk not used on that phone.
Your guess is as good as mine.
Are you still having those call transfer issues with DrayTel?

Hi
No solution from Draytel yet. Nice people but they rarely phone or email back. Obviously too busy/disorganised.
I'll contact Draytek next week and see if they can tell me how to use this new setting. I'll let you know if I find anything.

I cannot comment for sure wether they have because I have never contacted DrayTel for anything, but I am pretty sure that timbelfall is talking from past experience there admin as he has been experiencing issues with call transfer. I specifically remember him mentioning in another thread that he had emailed DrayTel but was awating a response and that he would send an email to chase them up.
Can I ask if you were dealing with that request?

Hi
Not to get too picky about DrayTel as they are very nice people to talk to and do try to help. Unfortunately they haven't followed up on phoned in queries. As admin is involved (presumably from DrayTel) if I tell names then someone is going to get an ear full. That's not the way I like to work.
I would just suggest to admin that a gentle reminder to colleagues that calls need to be followed up what ever the outcome.
The IPPBX has the potential to be a fantastic product, but there are some basic functional issues to be sorted out. I opted for DrayTek / DrayTel as the combination appeared to be ideal for a quick and reliable install. It's a great pity for me that this has not been the case.
Regards
Tim
