I know this is a bit OT (just a tiny bit) but I had real problems with my 2710 and VSS.

I had to disable all the DDOS features of the router to get it to work (otherwise it caused mayhem) - but I'm guessing the 120 doesn't have this feature set?

My MTU was set to 1492. The problem is that although my MTU was set to 1492, my ISP seems to want to use 1500. The MTU should be negotiated as part of the PPPoE / PPPoA session, but for some reason this isn't happening.

I think some ISPs are more clued up than others.

Mine allows such negotiation to take place AND they have a "force 1492 MTU" option on the line control pages for the account.

In my case, both are done and I get no problems related to fragmentation. I am also successfully using native (not tunnelled) IPv6 on the same link with no performance issues.

Not sure about the rules here for ISP recommendations, but suffice it to say, this is one of the ones with a very high reputation for technical competence.
