Vigor 2820 with two vgAP700s acting as repeaters

Could this be a channel issue, i.e. both AP's working on the same channel and seeing each other (albetit not at a strong enough signal to do anything useful) thereby causing a conflict / fight between the AP's.

Thats not actually very sensible as each AP would need to be on the same channel as the 2820.

But could it the fact that as both AP see each other they fight?

Alternatively, can the basement AP see another Wireless network that is conflicting, which the 2820 and top floor AP can not see?

Hi,

No, the only AP's the two are configured to talk to are the 2820. There are a couple other access points in the buildings next-door but they're either on another channel or the signal is really weak anyway.

I'm going to try setting them up as universal repeaters to see if that makes a difference.
