babis3g wrote: the command you have (wan vdsl show basic) ... is not command for errors for any model as far i know, but even if it has errors the command its self it says wan info BASIC

the above command in my opinion has enough info compare to some other adsl/vdsl modems

you can also try vdsl wan (should give you available option, or vdsl internet, vdsl srv, vdsl optn, vdsl mngt ... i also think for commands is rich

I'm sorry but you are obviously unfamiliar with the 2860 device ... other Draytek devices (profressional grade ones at least), have suitable commands the 2860 does not... the BASIC command is the ONLY option the firmware gives.

Code:
> wan vdsl show VDSL Show Status wan vdsl show [basic] : Display VDSL Status

the vdsl commands don't even exist ....

Code:
> vdsl status % Command missing, Valid commands are: adsl bpa csm ddns dos exit internet ip ip6 ipf log ldap mngt msubnet object port portmaptime prn qos quit show srv switch sys testmail fs upnp usb vigbrg vlan vpn wan wptl wol user nand apm

the comands i have show are the best i can find ...

Code:
> adsl status --------------------------- ATU-R Info (hw: annex A, f/w: annex Unknown) ----------- Running Mode : unknown State : SHOWTIME DS Actual Rate : 50420000 bps US Actual Rate : 20000000 bps DS Attainable Rate : 0 bps US Attainable Rate : 0 bps DS Path Mode : Fast US Path Mode : Fast DS Interleave Depth : 0 US Interleave Depth : 0 NE Current Attenuation : 17 dB Cur SNR Margin : 6 dB DS actual PSD : 7. 5 dB US actual PSD : 12. 6 dB ADSL Firmware Version : 05-04-08-00-00-06 -------------------------------- ATU-C Info --------------------------------- Far Current Attenuation : 0 dB Far SNR Margin : 6 dB CO ITU Version[0] : 00004d43 CO ITU Version[1] : 000015a4 DSLAM CHIPSET VENDOR : < unknown > > > wan vdsl show basic VDSL2 Link Status: SHOWTIME Firmware Version: 05-04-08-00-00-06 VDSL2 Profile: 17A Basic Status Upstream Downstream Unit Actual Data Rate: 20000 50420 Kb/s SNR: 5 17 0.1dB

It impossible to Not have any vdsl support commands ... all dray OS should have under show vdsl or vdsl show or vdsl status the page ... if is not then it is poor indeed ... unless you have old firmware as mentioned ... Any way, Thanks for your time and your report, its also helpfull for me as i am looking to get one for my collection :) i could be wrong as i am not owner of a 2860

it's not impossible .... it's fact ... and i'm running the latest firmware.

they simply haven't chosen not to implement this functionality. As i have said previously it's not a true commercial grade router. I bought one that i implemented for my home network and it does most things i need. but i didn't choose to implement it over a set of branch offices because i didn't think it was up to the task.

I'm not sure if i would currently recommend it .... :(

The member below post (same forum after my request) seems it has vdsl commands but he is with beta so perhaps they start adding them now & also has and snr tweak value with some betas ... now is worth for recommendation ( i believe :) )
