I think so... I submitted a problem via the "Email Support (UK)"

What is weird is that the 2820n is also somehow experiencing WLAN reboots, not as serious as the 2830n (2830n was constant to the point where LAN lights flash on and off and then reboots and a factory reset is the only option, 2820n reboots are a bit more infrequent)
with the 2820n I had to go back a firmware from 3352 to 3341 (my ISP actually noticed drop outs when I asked for a static IP - and only happend since the firmware started to have the "Auto Logout" thing in the corner).

Also, the 2820n seems to be more stable if I removed the WLAN's aerials... how strange.

I've read some posts from various forums that the Vigors don't have a fantastic WLAN, so I'm currently deciding whether to go for a separate Access Point...

I've beeen a customer since the Vigor 2600 USB - for the frog/ray SpeedtouchUSB router, stuck with Vigor all this time, was going to deploy the 2830n to my workplace, but that has to be on hold now...

Hope they reply soon.

Tak.

Apart from not being able to get the time and date to work on the router it seems ok.

How do I check what my current firmware is and should I upgrade to the latest?

Just to update, SNR for some bizarre reason is very low on the 2830n compared to my old 2800VG
It will drop gradually until the system will reboot.

very disappointed given the price I paid, will probably return and look elsewhere

The ISP may adjust the signal if it thinks it necessary; you can set an auto-reboot schedule on the router.

Mine is set to reboot every 3-4 days and runs fine.

I noticed on my v2820 if I left it without rebooting for more than 6-8 days it would significantly slow down.

Not a problem with my old Belkin Router which would spontaneously reboot 3-4 times A DAY!!!!!!!!

Easy to set up the reboot and it sorts the problem.

thanks but I don't want to lose any speed and rebooting is the answer for me.
I guess I was spoilt with my old Draytek...

Just bought a 2830 n and set it up today.

So far delighted. The only glitch was understanding the quick guide as I'm no it expert.

So I'll leave the firmware alone
