Very close to turning the 3910 into a expensive door stop after I accidentally knocked the power off which really upset it.

Right it's been six days since I've lost connection tot he internet. It seems the culrpit was clear DHCP lease for inactive clients periodically under the lan settings. Either that or I've been lucky.
That's interesting - this was a problem with the 3900's on day one - fixed after a couple of firmware iterations (now works fine on 3900). Wonder if you can make it to two weeks...! Thank you for sharing.

Issue came back today and it's ceratinly a ipv4 only issue.
If I pinged for examplewww.sheffield.ac.uk it came back with
uuu.sheffield.ac.uk no reply
I didn't type in uuu.sheffield.ac.uk btw.
pinging an ipv6 web site and I got a response.
One machine that did work is using my raspbery pi as dns server.

Failed again this morning.
So I've gone and reset the router to defaults.
then loaded the 3.9.2.2 firmware
reset defaults again
reloaded the backup config
Router didn't reboot properly so had to power off and on again
reloaded the ipbind config
everything came back couldn't browse none ipv6 sites again but a release and renew fixed that. I'm hoping that was just a gremlin in the works.
