Yes Thanks PSTN trunks from both locations ( 2 x BX2000's ) are forwarded to ext 101 ( location A ext's start with 1** ) & 201 ( location B ext's start with 2** )
I'll have a go with that over the weekend
Not noticed , however my PSTN lines are bad from time to time before anyway , seems better at the moment

Have you set up a PSTN trunk (902 or 903 as default) to go to a extension (handset) either locally or remotely?gscott99 wrote:

To get rid of the trunk number showing on the caller display, you can create a hunt group and forward calls to that. The caller display will show the name of the hunt group.gscott99 wrote:

Have you had any problems with PSTN call quality? I found that earthing the BX2000 helped. It actually comes with a shielded cable but there's no mention of the need to use it.gscott99 wrote:

Earthing can be needed sometimes using the STP cable to an earthed switch... but it's not normally
a problem unless you use the wrong PSU.

Earthing is essential or so I've found for using PSTNs with the BX2000.
Without it you can hear an echo of your own voice which makes it hard to have a conversation.
I didn't have an earthed switch so I soldered a lead onto a shielded RJ45 plug and ran it to a PC case.
I opened a support case with Draytek UK and they have found some issues with PSTN quality too. They say the new firmware should help.
cheers, Gordon

How does the location A BX2000 see the location B handset ? Dd you create a VPN between the 2 routers ?
