Hi Chaps

I have just received one of these on Vodafone to try on my 2910. I have set up as per the FAQ and tried some of the different strings, I get 7.2 and it seems to supply a dns server of 10.11.12.14 but every 10 seconds ppp shutsdown do I don't get an ip address. I am on the latest firmware on both the stick and the draytek. Has anyone else had much experience with this card on a 2910? I can see its in the compatability list so it must be something i'm doing wrong lol

Cheers

Matt

Hi, I have just purchased this through O2 as they have a better coverage where I live. This is listed as compatible but it will not dial. Does anyone know what string works with this please?

Regards

Sean

I received this modem today and am using it with a contract data sim that worked previously in a PCMCIA modem.

My modem settings are as follows:

SIM PIN: Blank
Modem init strng: AT&FE0V1X1&D2&C1S0=0 (Default)
APN Name: Blank
Modem Dial String: ATDT*99***16#
PPN Username: Blank
PPN Password: Blank

In Online Status, there's no values for the 3G modem, and it says: Message [ PPP Shutdown ]

Clicking Dial PPP has no effect

My syslog shows this for the modem:
Code:
Jan 7 14:54:04 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem stop Jan 7 14:54:04 my.router Vigor: [3G]Send init command AT&FE0V1X1&D2&C1S0=0^M Jan 7 14:54:04 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem status:A1 20 00 00 00 00 02 00 02 00 Jan 7 14:54:04 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem response: ^M OK^M Jan 7 14:54:05 my.router Vigor: [3G]Send query command AT+CPIN? Jan 7 14:54:05 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem status:A1 20 00 00 00 00 02 00 02 00 Jan 7 14:54:05 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem response: ^M +CPIN: READY^M ^M OK^M Jan 7 14:54:06 my.router Vigor: [3G]Good. Don't need PIN code Jan 7 14:54:08 my.router Vigor: [3G]Send init command AT&FE0V1X1&D2&C1S0=0^M Jan 7 14:54:08 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem response: ^M OK^M Jan 7 14:54:08 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem status:A1 20 00 00 00 00 02 00 02 00 Jan 7 14:54:08 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem initialize [ AT&FE0V1X1&D2&C1S0=0^M ]

I've also tried changing the APN to internet which gives an init string of "APN:internet"

That gives the following response in the syslog:

Code:
Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Send init command AT&FE0V1X1&D2&C1S0=0^M Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem response: ^M OK^M Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem status:A1 20 00 00 00 00 02 00 02 00 Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem initialize [AT+CGDCONT=,,"internet"^M ] Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem response: ^M OK^M Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem dial [ATDT*99***16# ^M ] Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem status:A1 20 00 00 00 00 02 00 02 00 Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem response: ^M ERROR^M Jan 7 15:18:33 my.router Vigor: [3G]Modem status:A1 20 00 00 00 00 02 00 02 00

Does anyone have any suggestions to help get this modem connected?

Forgot to add the important bit, the ADSL router is a 2800VG.
